Trust Equestrian Sweet Iron Baby Pelham Eliptical Bit - 12.5 cm (5")

$200.00
Only 1 available

Trust Equestrian Sweet Iron Baby Pelham Eliptical Bit - Size 12.5 cm (5")

Description

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron will oxidize when it comes into contact with humidity, the surface corrosion tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will in turn encourage a better acceptance of the bit. This process of corrosion changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to a brownish-grey. If not in use for a while, an orange-brown oxidized layer may form on the mouthpiece. Simply remove this by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.

Sweet Iron bits are suitable for all horses. Sweet Iron helps the horse to salivate more, which will encourage a better acceptance of the bit.

This mouthpiece has two hinges, is shaped more towards the mouth and lies looser. This bit exerts pressure on the tongue, the layers and the corners of the mouth. Be careful with narrow lower jaws, the hinge points can press on the layers which can cause wounds. Compared to a single jointed bit, this bit exerts more pressure on the tongue.

  • Made of Steel

  • Sweet Iron

  • Encourages Salivation

  • Short Pelham

  • Two Hinged Mouthpiece More Pressure on the Tongue

**Due to the contagious nature of the equine disease EHV 1 and per biosecurity measure guidelines suggested by the American Association of Equine Practitioners, 2nd Round Equestrian will no longer accept any returns on New bits and bit accessories.**
