Trust Sweet Iron Hackamore Combi Short Eliptical - 16cm
Description
This jaw piece is a combination of a hackamore with a bit. The hackamore combi is a jaw piece with leverage and gives pressure on the nose, chin, and mouth. The longer the shanks of the hackamore, the stronger the effect. This combination with short shanks has a less sharp effect than the long hackamore combi. These bits are often used with very enthusiastic horses on the trail.
Due to the leverage, this is a fairly sharp bit and therefore not suitable for inexperienced riders.
The double-broken bit has two pivot points, is shaped more to the mouth, and is a bit looser in the mouth. This bit works on the tongue, the layers, and the corners of the mouth. Be careful with narrow lower jaws, the hinge points can then press on the layers, which can cause wounds. Compared to a single broken bit, this bit has more effect on the tongue. A double-jointed mouthpiece is a standard mouthpiece.
The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and stimulates the horse's saliva production naturally. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to brown-gray.
